TALK
So - welcome all to the start of a new academic year. I trust that you've all had some lovely fun in the sun, and are getting back into the groove at your schools.
Sometimes children may have things they need to talk about after the holidays, and some students may feel worried about talking openly to other people, so to kick off the year we've released a song about the importance of TALK and communicating effectively with each other.
This song was inspired by some children I taught in primary who wanted to help their friends who didn't feel like they had anyone to talk to about their troubles. I always love it when children come up with ideas for new songs, especially when they're thinking about how to help other children, so I hope you like this one!
The song was musically inspired by the Beatles' 'When I'm 64' as you may recognise, and I particularly enjoyed playing my clarinet on this one.
Coming up next this term we have an E-SAFETY song, a guide to the CONTINENTS, a tune about NATURAL DISASTERS and one of my favourites - the MAYANS song! So watch this space...
Good luck with the start of term - and happy singing!
